Year 5&6 Notice

Year 5&6 round robin games: 4x8 minute halves. 

Games will be scored via the My Netball Manager app (score codes available from your school coordinator or at the office at NHV). Scores will not be published, however this will help us to determine who goes into which grade.

At the end of the match before submitting the score please also give the match a rating:

• 1 = the players ability was evenly matched (regardless of score)
• 2 = Team A was much stronger (ability) than Team B
• 3 = Team B was much stronger (ability) than Team A.

A reminder that positions for 2026 are: GS, GA, WA, C, GD, GK.

Teams are encouraged to rotate positions a minimum of at half time of a full game. 

Players are to receive a minimum of 50% playing time per full game. 

NO taping of jewellery is allowed (earrings etc.). A dispensation can be sought for taonga. This must be taped to the body (including any strings) otherwise it must be removed. Dispensation request can be made through your school coordinator to the centre manager.

Rules

• Apply contact (body or ball)
• Apply obstruction (with or without the ball. minimum 1m distance).
• Apply held ball (five seconds)
• Apply footwork (coach through in first instance and then apply if consistently not attemping to land/ control feet).
• Apply throw ins (ensure players understand to have both feet behind the line)
• Apply over a third (coach that the ball must be touched in each third - including at a centre pass)
• The non-scoring team has the next centre pass.
