Netball Hutt Valley are proud to provide opportunities for our community who wish to get involved in a social or one-off capacity. 

Twilight Term One 2026

Six week league for new & experienced players, umpires and spectators. The league provides opportunities for people from year 5 through to adults in social and competitive grades.

  • Monday 16 February - 23 March 2026 (30 March reserve day)
  • Entries close Sunday 8 February 2026 

Cost 

Juniors (Year 5&8)$110 per team
Youth/Adult$240 per team
Umpire levy if required$130 per team
Bibs (loan return each game)$30 for six weeks 

2026 Grades

Year 5&6

6-Aside positional (GS, GA, WA, C, GD, GK)

Boys & girls - unlimited ratios

Unlimited number of males on court (please work with opposition to ensure a fair, quality game is played)

Rotation of positions required - minimum two positions per game

50% game time per player minimum

Year 7 & 8

7-aside 

Year 7 Grade, Year 7&8 combined grade

Positional (GS, GA, WA, C, WD, GD, GK)

Up to 2 males on court - year 7 & 8 per team

Rotation of positions required - minimum two positions

50% game time per player minimum

Youth

Collegiate grades (Year 9+)

7-aside (up to 2 males on court - year 9 or 10 per team)

50% game time per player minimum

Womens

Social or Competitive 

7 aside 

Mixed

Social or Competitive 

7 aside (up to 3 males on court in different areas i.e. GA, WA, GD)


Grades may comine to ensure quality of league and meet minimum number of teams required to participate in a six week competition.

Umpires can be sought through NHV for $130 - at time of registration

Umpires must be at the level of team/ grade of competition. 

If your umpire does not arrive on time - a player must come off the court & umpire the game. No umpire, no whistle = no play. 

Whistles can be purchase at the office $10. 

First Aid

Teams to supply (including plasters)

NHV have limited ice available. 


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I wear jewellery?
  1. No. All earrings/rings/necklaces/anklets are to be removed.
  2. Taonga or medic alerts may be worn but must be tapped to the body (including any strings). 
  • Can I have long nails?
  1. No. Nails must be cut short and smooth.
  2. Gloves are not allowed. 
  • What happens if it rains?
  1. A call will be made at 2pm if the weather may impact play.
  2. We will post on our Facebook page and email team coordinators. No post/email means games are going ahead as scheduled.
  3. We have one reserve date scheduled - games postponed will be scheduled to then. 
  4. There are no refunds for cancellation dates
  • What if we can no longer participate?
  1. Late withdrawals or teams who withdraw after the cut-off date/ once the draw has been completed will not receive a refund. 
  • What happens if our team cannot provide an umpire on the day?
  1. A player from your team must leave the court and take to umpiring. 
  2. They can purchase a whistle for $10 from the office.
  3. Games shall not start unless both umpires are accounted for.
