Whistlers Programme 

2026 Whistlers programme is having an upgrade!

In 2026 the Whistlers programme is going to be delivered over two Saturday's in March prior to the season commencing. This will allow umpires more opportunities to put their learnings in practise during games and dip into more support and umpire coaching throughout the season (if they wish to do so). 

The Hutt Valley Netball Umpires Association (differ to NHV) will be leading the programme once again. 

Whistlers Programme Lead: Anita Taylor will be supported by HVNUA umpires including Hayley Taylor (NZ umpire squad). 

This programme caters for members from year 7 through to adults.

10am - 3pm

Please arrive by 9.45am on the first day for check in. 

Venue

Umpires room, Pavilion, Taita Netball Courts 

28 Taine Street, Taita 

Cost

$10 for both sessions. 

Payment to be made at time of registration to secure your spot.

Registrations are limited to 80 members in 2026. 


You will need to bring:

  • Your lunch
  • Water bottle
  • Suitable clothing & footwear for active participation outdoors (there is classroom work also) 

You will be supplied with a notebook, pen and whistle for the course.
