Umpiring at Netball Hutt Valley

The Hutt Valley Netball Umpires Association (HVNUA) support and develop umpires.  They are keen to help you get started in umpiring, and gain confidence. 

HVNUA umpires umpire our top grades in our Club competition, and our age group representatives, and are supported to gain umpiring qualifications.   New and young umpires are welcome join the HVNUA, however most start out by attending 'Whistlers'.

Umpiring Classes

Umpire classes for Schools (year 5&6 upwards) are to be held on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th May from 6.30pm - 7.30pm in the Umpires room at Taita Courts.   

Providing your own umpire

Junior teams (Year 5-6 on Mondays, Year 7-8 on Saturdays), and lower club teams (Saturdays), need to provide their own umpires.  Ideally Junior teams will have a parent/older sibling etc who can umpire or is keen to learn.
