Netball Hutt Valley will be running a pre-season programme specifcally for players who want to trial for school/ club premier or NHV Under 16, 18, 21 or Open representative programmes in 2026.
This programme will have an emphasis on solidifying skillsets (footwork, movement, ball) alongside conditioning and positional workshops.

Cost Full programme $60 (all sessions included: W.o.F, Conditioning/ Skill set and self-led training programme).
Drop in sessions $10 per session (if space is available). If you can only make a couple sessions (up to 5) then this would be the option for you.
No refund on missed sessions or cancelled due to weather.

Core strength Side Bridge & Plank |
Looking for stable body position (no sagging through core/back, hips aligned). Ability to be stable under contact/ pressure. | Players will be given a cone to place at the end of their feet to ensure they are keeping a consistent height during the leg raise (side bridge). Aim to complete 15 - 20 reps per side - 40 seconds (staying on the metronome beat 1 second up, 1 second down) Aiming for a minimum of 1 minute in the plank. |
| Triple hop/lateral hop | Mobility, strength & stability of lower limbs. Power & explosive movements. Less than 10% difference between both legs (injury prevention) | Triple hop: 4.3m minimum distance with ability to hold the landing on the third jump. Lateral hop: 40 seconds each leg, 40 cm distance to cover. 36 minimum each leg. |
