Under 16 Representative Programme

Convenor of Selectors: Community Development Officer or nominated executive member. 

Selection panel: Under 16 coaches and up to two independent selectors. 

Aspiration to have three teams representing the centre at local tournaments with the gold team attending the championship event in New Plymouth (5 - 7 July).

To be eligible for gold team selection you must be available to attend the championship event.

Fee structure 2026

Fees make a contribution to the representative programme, however do not cover all costs associated with delivering the programme.

Hutt Valley Gold team members will need to contribute to fundraising opportunities when available. The main fundraising event is the sausage sizzle at NHV on a Saturday. This will be communicated further via your team management. 

Full payment is due no later than Friday 5 June 2026. If players need to make a payment plan please contact admin@netballhuttvalley.co.nz. Plans need to be in place & started prior to the fee due date. 

Hutt Valley Gold: 

Hutt Valley Green & White: 

Players will receive a t-shirt & hoodie (if they do not already own one in good condition) and provided a tracksuit, playing uniform & bag which are to be returned cleaned at the end of the season.

Under 21/ Open Representative Programme

Selection panel: Under 21/ Open coaches and up to two independent selectors. 

Aspiration to have one team representing the centre at local tournaments and attending the national event in Napier (10 - 13 September)

To be eligible for gold team selection you must be available to attend the national event. 

2026 Selection

NHV are trialling a different approach to the open group team in 2026. Selectors will be on the ground during round one of the NHV competition. Players will be invited to attend the under 21/ open age group trial in July with a team(s) selected to attend two local events and one team will attend the championship event in September. 

If players do not wish to be selected for trials please advise NHV early in round one. The selectors will observe premier games and will also look to senior grades to ensure we have a good positional balance of players invited to the trial. Up to 12 players will be named in the team that travels to Napier.
