The year 1 to 4 programme is delivered in Term 1 and Term 4. Each programme is delivered for a total of six weeks and provides our youngest netballers an opportunity to develop skillsets and get on the court and play. 

All team registrations are completed through Sporty. School coordinators please ensure you use your school login to register all teams for the season. Term 1 & 4 are considered seperate seasons. Individual players are to be registered through Sporty. School coordinators can send the link of the school registration form to parents, or parents can access from our website here.

Team/ School requirements

  • Teams are required to supply a Star Helper (coach) to support individual team. 
  • Schools are to supply their own first aid kits including plasters. 
  • Schools are to supply teams with bibs (Year 3 & 4 only).

Format

  • Group Netball Smart Warm up (6 - 8 teams per hub)
  • Group skill demonstration
  • Teams break off to their courts to have a go at the skill/ activity
  • Game play: 2x8-minute halves. 
    • 4v4 Format 
    • No bibs required
    • Goals are scored in the hula hoops
  • Total participation: 45 - 50 minutes.

  • Group Netball Smart Warm up (6 - 8 teams per hub)
  • Group skill demonstration
  • Teams break off to their courts to have a go at the skill/ activity
  • Game play: 3x8-minute thirds. 
    • 5 v 5 Format 
    • A,C,D bibs required
